I never try with glo but you can do it:
- duplicate your footage
- apply glow effects
- using the mask on your duplicate footage
is 3D footage? you have some pass, for example Alpha?
- you can use the "T Mask" button for hide your effects with a render pass or with a different layer (for example one adjustment layer where you apply your mask).
