This was a workshop done for ImagineFX Magazine in their 12th issue. The idea behind the concept was to depict an army of giant earth and fire elementals rampaging and destroying the land. These giant creatures were summoned by a dark force of magic and bare ritual symbols carved into their forearms. This takes place in an undetermined time setting that could exist in an imaginary date or a late 1800 or 1900's time era based on the human characters and objects involved in the scene. The focus of this image was to teach the readers of the magazine how I go about producing mood and dynamic action in a piece through the use of color and brush strokes in Photoshop CS2.
