The behemoth hog lives off the coast of Asia wallowing just off the ocean shores in salty mud pits. The Grub-Loin is a celebrated giant as it represents the year of the pig according to the Chinese calendar. These gargantuan water hogs much like hippos spend a great deal of time under water but they need to breathe air. Grub-Loins are capable of holding their breathe for extended periods of time, they are extremely slow moving in both water and on land. They will often beach themselves if they stray too far from their mud pools which keep them cool and the ocean shores they spend time in to clean their hides as well as search for food. In order to move to and from these pools to the ocean the Grub-Loin Water Hog slides on its belly using it's hind legs to push....as much as possible. If they can't find the strength it's possible that they may die from heat stroke if their unable to reach a cooling location or a food source.
The giant Water Hog needs to eat constantly from birth to adulthood averaging 25 meals a day as an infant equaling upwards of 100 lbs each day worth of fish and vegetation. This gorging goes on for approximately 4 years at which point the Hog continues to feed at a more subdued rate due to its extreme decrease in movement and speed. Many sea birds will sit atop the backs of these 75 ton creatures scavenging for scraps of meat after it has fed. The Grub-Loins are generally sacred creatures, worshiped and protected by NWA associates however farmers will kill these giants on rare occasions to feed their village for the next 10 years when food is scarce and their crops dry out.
