This is a spectacular piece of work. You put a lot of creativity into it. I'll give you a ten-only because it's not possible to rate it any higher! Thanks!

Very cool indeed....love it

Thank you for sharing and what a wonderful job U did on this. I cant think of any other books...but how about a coloring book? Im a surreal artist and have used this book over scaled for my grand daughter's art. It would be cool to see this as a coloring book.

Thank you.

Fab book model and all the lovely textures that other artists made for this book. What a fab freebie. Thank you.

Fantastic! This is going to be so useful to me. I use books in so many of my renders, and I use a lot of children as well. Many thanks for this!

I rarely follow a specific vendor or modeler, but you definitely made my cut on this one, as a matter of fact, I rarely even look for stuff here because I rarely find anything I can use in my work. Not only am I following you now on SCG, I'll be keeping an eye out for anything new coming from your neck of the woods. This book and the companion textures looks better than some books I've more …

Looks like another great prop from Jim Farris. Thank you!!
Jim Farris (Xaa) (2 years ago)Inappropriate?
I'm afraid I don't have the time at the moment, I'm working on the larger book I promised for when we hit fifty ratings. =)
Rob Kelk (2 years ago)Inappropriate?
Perhaps a small poetry book? One would have to morph the book to be smaller in two of the three dimensions, of course. I suspect there's enough shore Kipling to fill a 20-page book... maybe I'll give it a try. Later.
zoon2001 (2 years ago)Inappropriate?
Woah! Cool. Thanks very much.

For those who already have the 20-page book and just want the corrected CR2 file, you can download it at www.forum.cooltuna.com/uploads/FileUpload/9c/ef0dc57cbf8951f2c714a7f664279c.zip
Jim Farris (Xaa) (2 years ago)Inappropriate?
After receiving a side-message, I have corrected the upload to have the CR2 point at the right location for the OBJ. Let me know if anyone else has any problems with it! =)

Thank you for sharing this. Great job!

Thank you for sharing this. Great job!
Jim Farris (Xaa) (2 years ago)Inappropriate?
@Rob: I wish, but even at an 8-point font it's going to run well over 60 pages and be barely readable. At a 12-point font, it runs about a hundred thirty pages.
Rob Kelk (2 years ago)Inappropriate?
This is very useful - thank you! As for suggestions, I believe "The Art of War" by Sunzi (or Sun Tsu) would fit into 20 pages, and the text is on Project Gutenberg.
Heronerd (2 years ago)Inappropriate?
Absolutely Fantastic. Can't wait to use this all over the place.
cimaira (2 years ago)Inappropriate?
This is wonderful, thank you! I've added my rating :)
Jim Farris (Xaa) (2 years ago)Inappropriate?
And remember, if you have a suggestion for a book you'd like to see, limit your suggestions to short works in the public domain, and remember to rate the 20-page book!
Jim Farris (Xaa) (2 years ago)Inappropriate?
Welcome, all. If we get to 50 people rating it, then there will be enough interest for me to start work on a larger book. =)
Sleepydragon (2 years ago)Inappropriate?
Thank you very much! :)

@Windigo: The Dick and Jane books are still under copyright here in the US. Will be for at least another thirty years. I'll look around and see what I can find otherwise. =)
Windigo (2 years ago)Inappropriate?
Finally got the download. LOOKS Great - On to the update.
I know this is ancient but my first and second grade readers were 'See Dick and Jane' How about a book for the K4 kids?
Jim Farris (Xaa) (2 years ago)Inappropriate?
Welcome, all. Working on some new mat-pose books for it right now. Please remember to rate! =)

Jim Farris (Xaa) (2 years ago)Inappropriate?
Thank you, all. This thing seems pretty popular. If it makes over thirty ratings, I guess I'll have to do some more books as mat poses for it. =)
Vilian (2 years ago)Inappropriate?
Since mousie called Vil loves Sherlock, it's easy to guess which texture set appeals to me more ^.^ Still, it's the model that's the best part of this package and I'm thankful for that *hugs Xaa* Awesome job, man!
Lolinilandecadon (2 years ago)Inappropriate?
