Perspective Guide

This guide was developed from many years of trying to solve a particular problem. This guide is modeled after several types of in-shot guides and guides used in forensic photography. Just print this diagram out on a nice thick piece of card or paper and place it in your shot. If you are using a tripod you can take one shot with it in and one without it. Once you take this into your graphics program it allows you to find the perspective lines and the horizon in your photograph for compositing purposes or for any other application in which you need to know the angle or placement of an object in the 3D space of a photograph.
