Ansys Convergence 2013 Mexico successfully concluded

May 3, 2013 - Ansys Convergence 2013 regional conferences took place in Mexico last week in beautiful San Miguel Allende, Guanajuato in Mexico. This 12th event was host by GrupoSSC, the bigger local rep and gathers 300 engineers from all the country from 70 companies having 45 presentations about CAE/CFD use and techniques in their local companies.

“It was amazing how this country has positioned in the automotive and aerospace industry “ mentioned Fernando Balderas, GrupoSSC´s CEO, a local entrepreneur who builds the company  and who encourage people to think in design and analysis as a must have tool in every design process. Today GrupoSSC is the biggest Ansys reseller in Mexico, last week they just launched their own R&D center in collaboration with local government as long with an academic center where students get the professional degree in mechanical design and simulation.

Companies like Ford, Schneider Electric, Whirlpool, GKN and lots of academic people show the audience Ansys CAE/CFD & HPC applications on their projects and discuss about how they solve some design situations, Claude Gobenceaux, Queretaro´s Messier-Bugatti-Dowty plant director and aerospace cluster president commented about the strong growth coming for this industry in the in the next few years and how important will be the demand for engineers for this segment. Ravi Kumar regional sales direcor from Ansys was there, talking about the 14.5 platform and the coming v15.
