Kaindayo, thxs much for this great preset. am wondering out loud here, do you think this could be modified to act like the camera flash of an iphone, like when the model is taking a selfie, for instance? imagine a scene with model in front of a mirror, with the flash beaming out into the mirror, and viewable from all sides... that, I think, would be a great tool... at least it's one more …

If you don't light the preset pose. All you need to do is Pose it how ever you want, and save that as a scene subset.

I was going to mention It's smart to use the BoxLight as a Custom Action. On the icon, right click and click on Create Custom Action. From there it will be in your "scripts" Panel at the top of the interface. You can load the BoxLight right from that script.

I attempted to fix it. There will be a new Box Light folder in the iray light presets. The one without the space in BoxLight is the new one. Go ahead and delete the old one if this update works.

tutorial lags a lot when in preview mode. I apologize in advance. Basicly, you control the softness of the shadows by controlling the scale of the camera. control the gain by controlling the Luminous Efficacy. The larger is light. The brighter it needs to be, to compensate for the spread of Emissions.
