Princeton, NJ (December 14th, 2011) – cmiVFX releases its latest amazing visual effects training video for animation. Aimed at anyone and everyone, this video is the sequel to one of the greatest videos in the cmiVFX library entitled, "Principles of Animation". While we are showing the entire series in Autodesk Softimage, it is really agnostic principles of animation techniques being used.  You can be using, Houdini, Cinema 4D, 3D Max, Maya…. and heck…  even Adobe Flash if thats your thing!  The point is, there will be several videos in this series that are aimed for each and every one of you reading this right now. We are covering everything from the basics, to advanced motions… so hang on to your hats!  It's gonna be a wild ride!

Short Description - Human and Animal Motion

In this video, we will be taking some of the principles of animation and applying them to biped and quadruped characters in real-world situations. This series will explore the fundamentals of skeletal anatomy and how it relates to the human and animal rigs used in animation using Autodesk Softimage. We will illustrate different types of joints motions on both types of characters. Then, we will move on to some fundamental intermediate exercises, the run cycle. Using two complete rigs, provided with the video, the viewer will be brought through the basics of running with both biped and quadruped forms.
