hi everybody

my name is Michael but is called Smike in the 3d world

i mainly uploads my models to the 3dvia site

but found this site today and began checking out the models on this site

when i was browsing the models i suddenly noticed that several of my models was avaible here uploaded by the (glory thief) user  - jotasjmvc -

all of them he has uploaded as they were made by him

THEY ARE NOT MADE BY HIM but is my models

so i have used some time looking at all his models and it was no surprise that he had uploaded many models witch is not made by him..

most of his models comes from Googles 3DWarehouse and the 3DVIA.com site where he downloads them and then puts them toghter in different evoriments or scenes pretending he made them

he is what i call a GLORY THIEF there takes credits for other peoples models

and pretends he is a great 3d artist which can be seen on the models he select which all are models with the highest credits and most comments on..

i also noticed many models from great 3d artists in the 3dwarehouse

i dont now how the rules are here but on the 3dvia site we dont tolerate people like him there "forgets"  to write proper credits to the 3d artist there has made the model..

so how does the users here say to people (users) uploading other peoples work

3d artist call name smike on 3dvia and the 3dwarehouse.

We take abuse and copyright infringement very seriously here at SCG.  However, we can't find a user on SCG named "jotasjmvc"  Can you pleae repost the user's CORRECT name so we can take the appropriate action.  thanks much, SCG Administrator

To: Smike.... This stinks. I am a model maker too and would see the models put up here by this individual and think to myself "How does he make them so fast"!? I checked out your links... YOUR models look great. It really bothers me to see people do this sort of thing. I have seen this alot here lately.

To Michael - I went and looked at some of your models - they are fantastic. I am sorry that someone has been stealing your work and attempting to pass it off as their own - I hope that I am being truthful when I say that sort of lowlife behaviour is beneath most of the members of this community.

I do not understand why they do it - I think it is just showing how small they really are.
