I too have wondered this... from the point of view of trying to achieve that result. I guess you can make your own super realistic textures and work from that, it does have great rendering and lighting features so it should be possible. The realistic poses can be achieved because you have the ability to tweak the meshes when a pose distorts it.

I think the main aspect is time, some of these renders must have taken some serious hours of work.
