I'm pretty much a lurker on the forum here I know, but there is something that has been bugging me and I'd love to know if there was some possible solution to it.

I rarely get any comments or ratings on my items, and I have no problems with that. I just like to see people download my stuff because it means that I'm creating something that is useful for others.

However, every so often some of my items seem to attract a one star rating. It's not the rating itself that is bugging me - everyone is entitled to their own opinion - but it does bug me that there is never any comment left explaining the rating.

 If someone believes something of mine should be rated, and should be given a low rating, then I want to know why - so that I can work at improving my products in future. Otherwise the rating is somewhat useless to me as the creator of the item, and also often meaningless to the downloaders as they don't know why the item has been rated so poorly. Is it because the mesh is sloppy or is it because the mesh is so big that it needs a powerhouse computer to load it into the 3D program.

 I was wondering if it would be more beneficial for both creators and downloaders if people couldn't actually assign a star rating without making a comment as well. That way it may provide the creators with feedback that is helpful.

Truth be told, I would be quite happy not to have the rating system, but that's only my opinion, and I am very aware that the system was implemented for a logical reason.
