How to fix daytime flash photos? Report this article as Inappropriate to us !!!Login to Reply

hi all!

I am fairly new to having a 'decent' camera (canon g7x Mark 2). I have been getting varied results and have been trying to figure out the Av section for close up face shots. Auto brings focus down to f1.5 which means the background is blurry. (What's the best way to shoot this scenario too?).

So I have had it on AV setting and kept it at around f6-7. This however had been giving the pictures a grainy look.

To resolve this I tried using flash even in the daytime. I just had a few days away and wanted decent photos. I used this format most of the time and now regret it. The pictures of peoples faces are shiny and greasy looking, blemishes and freckles are showing up way more than in real life and the hair is looking strange-partings and hairlines look thinner and more scalp is showing and frizzy hair is more apparent etc).

What am I doing wrong firstly but more importantly what would be the best way to fix the photos i have 'ruined'?

please help.

Thanks.

I didn’t find the right solution from the internet.
