SEOUL, South Korea, May 21, 2014 — (PRNewswire) —  'KOBA 2014 – 24th Korea International Broadcast, Audio & Lighting Equipment Show' opened in COEX on Tuesday, the 20th.

Opening in COEX exhibition hall A, C, D, and Conference center until coming Friday the 23rd for 4 days, this expo as a next generation growth engine industry related to convergence of broadcasting and telecommunications, and as the only specialized exhibition in the country, it is the only globally promising exhibition that has received global accreditation from the Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy (MOTIE) and The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry.

By displaying and introducing outstanding broadcasting, video, sound and lighting products from all around the world in one place, it will provide the opportunity to see the state-of-the-art broadcasting, video industry & sound, and light industry's modernization, which all plays a pivotal role in the cultural industry. It also suggest a blue ocean with the potential for competitiveness and vision that can handle sudden flow of changes.

By introducing 4K, UHD, 3D, Smart TV, Mobile TV, Digital Contents, Camera, VTR, Post-Production System, Delivery & Distribution Equipment, Video Post-Production Equipment, Character Generator, CATV System, Internet/Satellite Broadcasting Equipment, Display, Audio equipment like Pro Audio, Microphone, Headphone, Console, Mixer and instruments, Audio related equipment & Light/Stage Equipment, and others for a total of 700 models of ten thousand units, it will provide a good opportunity to obtain information of the latest products.

This year, the size of the expo has increased by 12% compared to 2013, which includes UHD(Ultra High Definition), 4K and other Smart technology which is receiving attention not only as a broadcasting industry but also as a convergent technology, and OLED display, 4k, UHD digital TV, projectors, and other convergent contents made by 3D camera centering around the evolving future broadcasting innovative technology. Also, with the participation of national and foreign major companies the visitors get the chance to see high definition videos and advanced technology.

"International Broadcasting Technology Conference" held by Korea E & EX and KOBETA (Korea Broadcasting Engineering & Technicians Association) at COEX conference center during the expo is made up of 100 sections that will handle topics on main broadcasting equipment such as 4k, UHD, Smart Technology, Digital Radio, as well as broadcasting technology, policy, and broadcasting as a whole.
