Yacha Launches Mobile Messaging App Allowing Users to Communicate with Mixed Multimedia as a Single Message

Users Can Now Create, Send and Receive Richer Mobile Messaging Content

LOS ANGELES — (BUSINESS WIRE) — June 18, 2014Yacha, the multi-framed multimedia messaging app, launches today. The free to download iOS app allows users to create and send content rich messages, in any combination, using photos, text, audio, drawings and video as a single message. Yacha’s capabilities introduce a new way to communicate socially and creatively.

Users today communicate through a number of different messaging apps with limited and basic features. Instead of flicking between two or three apps in order to enjoy a fuller range of features, Yacha has streamlined the entire experience down to one simple app by introducing framing. Users can create up to five multimedia frames per message, which can consist of a mix of audio, video, photo, text or drawn elements, enhancing the user's messaging experience.

To encourage engagement, recipients can view each frame for a specified time and tap the screen to see the next frame. If the time expires, the frame will be frozen automatically, and saved into the user’s personal “Locker,” a private collection of favorite moments and memories. All preceding and remaining frames thereafter will be lost. Yacha blends multimedia and messaging together to provide for a simple, fun and engaging way to communicate.

“We live in a world where the way we communicate is fragmented through messaging apps with limited content capabilities,” says Co-founder Asa De Alwis. “Yacha is reinventing the lucrative mobile messaging market by providing users with the most creative, content rich and expressive messaging experience available on their mobile device.”

Yacha understands that each conversation is different and as such the app offers the ability to share messages privately or publicly to individuals or a group of people. Users can select the broadcast feature to reach a wider audience and to make new connections. Broadcast messages are posted publicly on a user’s profile and can then be re-broadcasted by other users. This sharing capability also tracks the number of individuals that re-broadcast a message as well as the number of people that interact with the message.

Connect and share life’s moments with your friends and family in the most imaginative ways. Record an audio message or part of a song. Write a text. Add in a drawing, a photo, or a video, and send it all as one message. So whether you’re at a concert, capturing a vacation getaway, or sending a holiday greeting, Yacha users can share their favorite moments in the most engaging, expressive and creative way possible.

Yacha is now available on iOS and free to download from the App Store https://itunes.apple.com/nz/app/yacha/id885651949?mt=8&ign-mpt=uo%3D2. The app will soon be available to Android users.
