Artificial Intelligence Startup Makes Breakthrough towards Image and Object Recognition

POTOMAC, Md., Jan. 11, 2017 — (PRNewswire) —  Z Advanced Computing, Inc. ("ZAC") makes technical breakthrough towards Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI), where the various attributes and details of objects can be recognized in images efficiently, enabling a multi-tier deep image search in a wide variety of applications. "The unique features of our technology can give Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, Baidu, Facebook, and other search engine companies the capability to discover a lot more details about the objects in images," said Dr. Bijan Tadayon, CEO of ZAC.  "Our revolutionary image recognition technology can also help Walmart, Target, Staples, Amazon, Alibaba, E-Bay, JD.com, and other e-commerce or online retailers find products in their inventories, just from images.  Furthermore, it can help Uber, Nissan, Google, Nvidia, Tesla, Volvo, Toyota, and other autonomous car companies extract more details from the surrounding of driverless cars.  We are also very proud that our technology can in the near future help medical imaging companies, like Siemens and GE, detect medical abnormalities in images for better diagnosis," said Dr. Saied Tadayon, CTO of ZAC.

Following an angel round of funding in 2014, ZAC obtained funding from the State of Maryland (TEDCO) in 2016 for its shoe recognition platform.

ZAC has an impressive team of scientists and developers.  The software development is headed by Saied Tadayon, a veteran software developer and scientist, who got his PhD from Cornell at age 23.  One of ZAC's inventors is Prof. Lotfi A. Zadeh ("The Father of Fuzzy Logic"), a pioneer computer scientist at U.C. Berkeley.  Other world-renowned advisors include Prof. David Lee (Nobel Laureate in Physics), Prof. Mory Gharib (Vice Provost of Research for Caltech), Prof. Robert Buhrman (Sr. Vice Provost of Research for Cornell), Prof. Ronald Yager (Director of the Machine Intelligence Institute), Prof. Mo Jamshidi (Founding Director of NASA Center for Autonomous Control Engineering at Univ. of Texas), and Dr. Marv Langston (First CIO of US Dept. of Navy).

ZAC's intellectual property portfolio comprises over 450 inventions, including 10 issued US patents, which cover Machine Learning and Image and Pattern Recognition.

Thanks for sharing this post! Artificial Intelligence and object recognition technology have been improving day by day at a rapid pace, therefore, image searching has now become more popular across the globe. I like reading books and articles on the latest technology gadgets and literature. Recently, I have read a short fiction story 'Border' by Thomas King (you can visit here https://gradesfixer.com/free-essay-examples/borders-by-thomas-king-analysis/ for some free essay examples about this story)! By the way, we should be aware of using advanced technology in our everyday lifestyle.
