Cadac Group introduces Organice 2007 R4

Heerlen, The Netherlands - November 5, 2008 - The Cadac Group, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner developing Organice, a SharePoint based engineering document management solution, announces the release of Organice 2007 R4. This new Organice release provides new features and enhancements in Organice Explorer and Organice Transmit.

Organice Explorer enhanced CAD support
Organice Explorer is the smart Windows desktop client that enhances working with Microsoft SharePoint. Organice Explorer provides all the fundamental engineering document management functionality that users need in their engineering projects. It integrates SharePoint with MS Office, MS Outlook for e-mail, and with various leading CAD applications. In release 2007 R4, Organice Explorer now also supports Bricscad V9, the latest version of Bricscad that was released in September 2008, and Autodesk Revit 2009, that was released earlier in 2008. Organice Explorer Batch Processor
Organice Explorer includes a Batch Processor that can be used to analyze the structure of AutoCAD files for the presence of reference files (XREFs). In release 2007 R4, the Batch Processor is now also capable of executing AutoCAD scripts on selected AutoCAD files, for instance to quickly convert a DWG to DWF, or to purge files. Furthermore the Batch Processor supports the execution of an external print application to print files in batch.

Organice Transmit query based distribution matrix
With Organice Transmit document controllers can distribute multiple documents that are stored and managed in SharePoint to multiple recipients at once. A distribution matrix specifies exactly which recipient needs to receive which documents, and how many (in case of hardcopy). In release 2007 R4, users can now create distribution matrices even easier by querying the right documents and recipients. Especially in case of large distribution matrices, this substantially saves time in creating a matrix.

Organice Transmit batch printing
Organice Transmit can distribute documents through e-mail or printed on paper. In release 2007 R4, it is now possible to execute an external print application after the transmittal has been created for a recipient that wants to receive printed documents. The print application is executed for every transmittal that needs to be printed and the documents are automatically added to the print job. The user can then add the necessary print settings and print the set, including the transmittal letter.

Organice 2007 R4 will be available to customers from October 2008.
