Lightworks participates in first Canadian Siggraph exhibition

SHEFFIELD, UK (2 August 2011) - Lightworks, the world's leading supplier of rendering solutions for developers of advanced 3D computer graphics software, will again be participating at Siggraph – the computer graphics interactive techniques exhibition – which will this year be held in Vancouver, Canada.

Lightworks will be focusing on their Lightworks Artisan product at Siggraph, the company’s next generation product which is built on the culmination of over 20 years experience within the CAD industry. Lightworks Artisan offers a completely new approach and tools for the creation of high quality images of a virtual product or building whilst is it still being designed. Visitors to the Lightworks booth will be able to see SnapShots in action as well as previewing future Lightworks Artisan product features.

This year Lightworks will be welcoming 2 customers onto their booth: IMSI/Design and Corel.

IMSI/Design will be showcasing Renditioner, their implementation of Lightworks Artisan. Speaking about their participation in the exhibition, Bob Mayer, Chief Operating Officer of IMSI/Design said, “Siggraph 2011 is a fantastic venue for us to showcase the Lightworks rendering technologies found in our TurboCAD and Renditioner products. We are particularly excited about the new Artisan rendering technology now incorporated into Renditioner, as this brings a whole new level of, and power to, photorealistic rendering, lighting and materials application for our SketchUp plug-in.”

Corel will be demonstrating the latest version of CorelCAD which links with the Lightworks Artisan product. Klaus Vossen, Product Manager for Technical Graphics at Corel commented, “The timing of Siggraph 2011 is perfect for us to present our newly released CorelCAD product with its plug-in capabilities that enable the connection to the Artisan rendering component. Visitors to the Lightworks booth # 819 will be able to see how the intuitive Artisan user interface and one-button rendering capability within Renditioner and CorelCAD, make the creation of photorealistic images simple.

Partnership with Imagination Technologies
As part of the Company’s ongoing commitment to offer a wide range of visualisation technologies, Lightworks is pleased to be presenting on the Imagination Technologies booth #129 showing how the SnapShot workflow from Lightworks Artisan can drive Brazil for Developers Realtime Raytracing to give users fast feedback to design and visualisation changes.
