The cliff notes:

Was a software engineer / computer programmer during my long career. An aggressive cancer with a poor prognosis has put me on disability and an early retirement. I live with my daughter now and have a caregiver for anything I need.

I used to play the guitar, program for fun also, write music and songs for my band which is now defunct, played a space ship bridge simulator on a LAN for six computers. I was the captain.

I've done a few other things like create alien languages for speaking and writing (got paid for them too). Cancer has robbed me of energy whether due to the disease or the constant rounds of chemo. I sleep most of the time. I'm weak, nauseous, and drugged up to the hilt to keep me as comfortable as possible.

The only thing that remains that I can do without taxing my energy reserves too much is creating my comic book. There are no deadlines, is no pressure, and I can put it down after a couple of hours for the day. I have three on my website and am working on the fourth now.

I'm divorced twice and have two children in their thirties now. I used to take three mini vacations and one long one every year either to a beach or the mountains.
