I'm having the same issue... "Ok I used to use RTE all the time, now it seems i cant get anything to work. All I get is errors, blMilMan_m4b.obj "does not appear to be the proper Key 1 file" can someone post the resolution so we can all understand what we're doing wrong?

RTE decoder is telling me that the M4 obj won't work, does this not work with the current version of M4?

WandW-Thank you for your explanation. Having used this successfully at its release, I thought I had grown stupid...er LOL. Trying to rebuild my runtimes from scratch and couldn't get it to work - now I can see why...although DS3 users don't need this, Poser users do - Kemp Sparky, wherefore art thou?!

This is almost certainly encoded against the original release of M4-if you have the installer for the older version, install into an empty folder using the DAZ Studio install option to access the file. The author is 'Kemp Sparky' at the DAZ forum, so you might request it be reencoded against the current version of M4...

Um sorry Sparky, but as with everyone else, I'm having only trouble. Guess I'm too dim to figure this one out, but I'm getting the same error: "does not appear to be the proper Key 1 file" If one of you folks who finally GOT it to work could please let the rest of us know how, it would be deeply appreciated. Shame for Sparky to have done all this work and it not being usable.

I would love to do the decoding to use the M4 with V4 textures BUT it tells me the file lenght is not right. I am at wits end and do not know what to do. I hope you can help.

Can anyone on here offer any help? I've even done a computer scan for the file, and blMilMan_m4b.obj is nowhere to be found. I would greatly appreciate a response!

I would love to use these, but I get an error message that says " It appears this is not the correct key file." What am I doing wrong here? I have successfully decoded many of your M3 hair refits, but cannot decode this one.

I ain't smoochin' ya, but you can consider this one of those 'a manly hug ensues' moments... You did a fantastic job with this. Any chance that you might reverse this concept, and make a V4-M4 remap?
