@taiuri: Genesis 8's skeleton has a completely different limb node structure than Genesis 2, so a simple adjusting aniBlock won't do the trick.

What you'd need is an Animation Conversion script, like those which already exist for Genesis/Genesis 2 (from V4/M4) and Genesis 3 (from Genesis 2) found on the DAZ shop.

Could you create one for adjusting G8 Aniblocks in G2 Figures?

Many thanks for sharing!

You're welcome. :)
Normally, DAZ Studio automatically creates a .ds file for every .gfa that doesn't have one when you start it. That looks to me at a first glance like a folder security settings problem. Windows 7 (and maybe 8 and 10, too) doesn't really like it if something or someone wants to modify a file on the drive where the OS is installed. For a proper analysis of your more …

This does indeed work as intended, saves a ton of conversion headache:
Do you know what I can do with animate blocks that have no .ds file with them ?
I installed animate for V4.2 and there is no .ds file, only a .gfa, I'm having to create them manually and was hoping for a more automated method.
Thanks for your work.

Hi, Damlimey. Thank you.
It's not really a script, just a common selfbaked aniBlock. No, unfortunately there's no software able to read and modify .gfa files. At least none that I know of.

This was done by loading Victoria 4 and G2F together, and then adjusting the bend, twist, and side-side parameters of G2F's bones to match Victoria 4's zero T-pose. One after another, more …

Hi there,

This is a really useful script, thank you for posting it. Do you have software that can read and modify .gfa files or was it done using Animate 2 only?
guptatsg (7 years ago)Inappropriate?
thankyou very much

Thanks for the info.
That might be, but this aniBlock aims to help making 4th Gen motions usable on Genesis 2, not circumvent restricted usabilities of the "Lite" version of aniMate 2!

It seems that the aniblock isn't usable in aniMate Lite because it cannot create sub-tracks
