Download video tutorials Report this article as Inappropriate to us !!!Login to Reply

Hi.

Is there any chance to get this feature: download the video tutorials? I tried puttig them in the first file upload (the one that goes under the video with the Download link) but they are usually too big and the upload fails.

I know the idea is to make more views but the other stuff here can be downloaded so people don't have to come back to "see" it. I can understand that some people want to get more views but the option to make it available for download would be nice, but not the default. If you want to make it available for download you can just change the option. A video tutorial is much more easy to follow when you can pause, rewind, go forward without having to wait too long for this to happen. It's the only thing I'm missing here :) and I'm sure that the people that visit this site will benefit a lot from this.

 Thanks,

 Andrei

This feature would also be nice for people who produce stock video clips that other people can use in their home productions. IE: Spaceship flying through space, landing on a planet, firing weapons, explosions, et al.

I don't fear God anymore. Anything he/she can do to me now is only adding insult to injury!

Hi .... We've left this up to the uploader, in that if he or she wants to offer a video tutorial as a download they can do as this user did:

http://www.sharecg.com/v/1271/tutorial/Creating-a-reflective-metallic-surface

In this case the uploader gave a short description and picture of the tutorial and provided a link to the .mov file in the description.

It's really up to each individual whether or not they want to allow others to download their material.

We do not have plans to make this a built-in functionality in the near future since we're working on some very big, higher priority, engineering tasks now.  We will revisit requests like this one once we've finished the Jobs and the Extended Portfolio funtionalities we're working on this month.
