hi world

i'm one of the downloaders of the free DAZ Studio. So far I'm playing with it, and as far as I can, it is a great software! But a good software - like any other good product - is nothing, if there is no good aftersales behind it. In case of DAZ Studio: It is more than a pain in the ass, that there is no documentation a beginner really can satisfy.

I guess downloading DAZ Studio for free is a salesstrategy. playing with it should make appetite to buy additional (more or less expensive) stuff. i'm convinced, that this strategy would have a big success, if there only would be a good documentation - or even a much bigger success, if the beginner would get a sufficent support. during the past days i spent more time with searching for explanations, than with really working with DAZ Studio. what i found so far is more or less useless (old documentation, didactically a horror or other reasons) I know, writing a good documentation is expensive and something nearly nobody likes. at least most of the programers around the world don't like this job - or they are not able to do it. they want to write programs, not boring documentations. i know what i'm talking about - i'm a programer by my own Smile 

Talking about DAZ Studio: a brief look at the videos provided by DAZ people shows what i'm talking about - there are only very few good ones out there.

or pressing the help button in Studio... do i have to say more?

even the support is a joke - i'm waiting for answers, and waiting and waiting... 

it would not be the first good product what dosn't get the success it deserves, because aftersales in fact is not existing...

okay, although there is no traffic in this forum - i try to get answers here (not knowing whereelse i can ask...)

1. i saw a video (one of the better ones!) about the shader mixer. everything works fine, but there is a tiny little thing, i don't get to run: in the video the rendered figure was seen in the viewport - i guess there it is, with the changed surface, useable like any other figure in the viewport.

I only can see the changes on the surface of the figure when i click the render-button. but than i get a new window with a static picture.

Where is my fault, what do i have to do, to see the made changes on the figure in the userport? 

2. how can i save a character with all additional stuff i added to it (like hair, clothes...), so that i can load it completely in one step? - so far i'm able to save a naked body with the changes i made to it, but hair, clothes... i have to add after loading the character itself.

3. perhaps more or less the same theme: I built a simple, static furniture out off the primitives in studio. how can i save this as a unity?

Is there anybody out there in the world able and willing to help me? Smile
