ladyjewell, I know what you mean about getting the different colours to appear where you want them to on the terrain. In Bryce I get around it by using one of the slope sensitive terrain presets. Sometimes I find that I need to play around with the scale setting in the Material Lab as well. [Now you know why I have a nervous tic ;) ] Hope that helps. how are you wrapping the texture on your model? I have the darnedest time getting the green to be only on the flat areas.
