Thanks goofygrape - glad you like this. ----- JimK, point well made about the height maps - now that I have found a height map that I like I'll be using it to make the actual topography much more obvious. :)

I really like what you're doing now with the height mapping. It certainly makes your landscapes pop out, and it makes it easier to visualize the "lay or the land," so to speak.

As always, delightful! An idea has been bubbling around the back of my mind based loosely on the late Jack Chalker's Well World series that would be able to use a number of your terrains as isolated experiments on a single world - or worlds. Welcome to World Building 101 ... literally. :-D
